ABOUT ME

I have always been on a search for peace.

I have always been on a search for peace. Growing up with numerous family legacy burdens, PTSD was in my genes and body. My search for balance led me down numerous paths, some self destructive, some expansive and reaffirming. Each lesson, even the ones I’ve wished to forget, have contributed to who I am today.

I say this to let you know that I am a work in progress, an imperfect human who is not seeking to “cure you”, but to be fully human with you, and join you in cultivating the life you want to live.

My clients have told me that I am both warm and firm. As a therapist I do not sit back, but actively engage in our work, bringing my full presence.

I am a licensed clinical social worker and registered yoga instructor. I graduated with a BS in Psychology and Disaster Studies in 2006 from SUNY New Paltz, then completed the Master’s in Social Welfare program in 2012 at the University at Albany.

I am masters level trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy, trained Internal Family Systems, Intimacy from the Inside Out, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Open Dialogue, Motivational Interviewing, Problem Solving Therapy, and Mindfulness modalities and currently training in the Self Trust and Integrated Resilience (STAIR) Method.I

I earned my 200 hour yoga teacher certification in 2019 at The Living Seed after years of personal practice. I became a Licensed TIYT Clinical Facilitator with Sundara Yoga Therapy in 2021 and now bring their brilliant Overcome Anxiety protocols into my therapeutic work. I am also a trained doula and have been blessed by being able to assist four mama’s in bringing their little ones into the world.

My family includes my inquisitive kiddo, my husband and our senior rescue dogs. We love cooking and adventuring together, either through a path in the woods or the pages of a good book. In my solo time I practice yoga and meditation. I love to read fantasy, watch comedy, dance, and snack on dark chocolate. This year I hope to laugh more and get back to being the traveler I used to be.
